: : then you're going to be some sorry employees out in the real world. It gets even more confusing, plus it's your ass on the line, not just a grade. People don't hand you a piece of paper that says, i need a foo class that spits out 86 when you give it 15. They all say, here, we need you to do this, and that, and then when you get it done half the time it wasn't what they were thinking because they expect you to read their mind. So this class is excellent preparation for all the trials and tribulations that will make you wet your pants when you get your first REAL job.

: true- most of your customers don't know what you can do with your programs and in the first place, what they want.

: cheers..

And how the hell do you know this? Have you worked as a *REAL* programmer before? Don't even relate this to real world buddy, in the real world, companies aren't going to let you loose working on a complex project solo. Where as this crap in this class, we gotta work alone on shit he barely even taught. (Thanks prof for letting us know ch. 7 may be useful the day the project was due...)

Don't you know what a white paper is? Oh yeah, nevermind, you know ALL about the real world... Go find out what a white paper is. No real software company will even begin a project until the white papers are laid out completely. That means this foo class will spit out 86 when you give it 15.

What the hell, you think these customer who request these complex softwares to be custom created for them don't know what the hell they want? They run a business for christ sakes, I would think they would know what the hell they want to see and what they don't wanna see. It's their money they're spending..

I work with senior level developers every day, and this kinda abstract crap is not even something they wanna deal with. How do I know? Because I asked them for help on the avltree.. go figure..
