: HI,
: I missed today's class. Was there any announcement that I should know ?

Well, you're not the only one that missed, or that was tired from being up all night coding. =P So, I'm sure this post will benefit more than one . . .

By the way, not sure if I'll be too much help, he was referring to me when he said, "Vivek's Falling Asleep, let's give him a question!" =P

Anyways, he began by mentioning that most of the class was probably not proud of the code they turned in, etc.

He also suggested that the "C" range would fall into non-compiling code or non-working code, I believe. He said it was a rough hurdle, but there's one more . . . the verification test . . .

There are going to be multiple parts to this . . . a simple part and a tougher part. The simple part is going to ask stuff like what variable naming convention we used and/or where we put our name on the paper or how we commented the code. The tougher question could ask us to go into detail about how we decided upon the structure of a specific funtion like insert or something like that. He is looking specifically for stuff that relates to our code to find out conclusively that we wrote our code and didn't copy it from somewhere. In his office hours, he expressed special interest in nailing those who copied code.

Anyways, after that . . . he continued talking briefly about the Big O Notation of different data structures and briefly talked about MultiSets and how a map could be used to implement those.

Then, I fell asleep, and shortly after . . . he mentioned how the whole class was dead, and he'd dismiss class early and see us on Monday.
